The EA888 Gen4 in the MK8 GTI and 8Y A3/S3 carries a capable factory intercooler, but heat soak becomes a real consideration as power increases. This tube and fin intercooler kit provides improved cooling capacity in a direct-fit package.

Note: this intercooler kit fits the shared MQB Evo platform across Golf GTI/R MK8 and A3/S3 8Y — same engine bay, same fit. It does not fit MK7 Golf or Audi 8V platform vehicles, which use an earlier-generation intercooler; see our separate MK7/8V intercooler for those models.
