VCTR Performance VW Golf GTI MK8 / Audi A3 S3 8Y Catless Downpipe Kit
The MK8 GTI carries an OPF in its factory downpipe — the primary restriction in the EA888 Gen4 exhaust path. This catless downpipe removes that restriction, improving turbo spool, exhaust flow, and providing a more defined exhaust note for tuned MK8 GTI applications.
SS304 stainless steel construction. The OPF section is removed entirely, replacing the factory restriction with a free-flowing downpipe section matched to the OEM flanges.
The OPF on the MK8 GTI exists for one reason: emissions compliance, not performance. A catless downpipe takes it out entirely, which means this is a road-and-track piece for builds that have already committed to a tune — you get the full post-turbo flow gain, and the exhaust note loses every trace of factory filtering.

Note: downpipe fitment follows engine output/turbo specification rather than chassis alone — GTI and A3 8Y share the same EA888 Gen4 tune and downpipe flange. This kit does not fit Golf R or Audi S3 8Y, which use a different downpipe specification (see our separate Golf R/S3 kit), nor MK7 Golf or Audi 8V platform vehicles.
