Overview

The Golf R MK8's factory OPF downpipe restricts exhaust flow significantly. This high-flow catted downpipe replaces the OPF with a less restrictive catalyst — improving turbo spool and exhaust flow while retaining catalytic function for road-registered Golf R applications.

Note: downpipe fitment follows engine output/turbo specification rather than chassis alone — Golf R and S3 8Y share the same higher-output EA888 Gen4 tune and downpipe flange. This kit does not fit Golf GTI or Audi A3 8Y, which use a different downpipe specification (see our separate GTI/A3 kit), nor MK7 Golf or Audi 8V platform vehicles.
