Overview

The EA113 and EA888 Gen2 factory downpipe carries a restrictive pre-catalyst that limits exhaust flow. This high-flow catted downpipe replaces it with a less restrictive unit — improving turbo spool and exhaust flow on MK6 Golf R and A3 8P applications.

The MK5/MK6 and 8P platform's factory downpipe was built around a much milder factory tune than most owners are running today. This kit clears the pre-cat restriction without giving up the catalyst, so the car stays road-legal and gains the flow and tone the EA113/EA888 Gen2 has been holding back the whole time.

• VW Jetta / GLI MK5 / MK6 (2006–2014) — 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen1/Gen2

Note: the MK5/MK6 Golf and Audi 8P share the same EA888 Gen1/Gen2 platform — same engine bay, same flange, same result. This kit does not fit MK7/MK8 Golf or Audi 8V/8Y platform vehicles, which use a later-generation engine and different fitment.
