Overview

The EA888 Gen2 crankcase ventilation system recirculates blow-by gases back into the intake, introducing oil vapour to the intake manifold and intercooler over time. This billet aluminium catch can kit intercepts that vapour before it reaches the intake — keeping the intake system cleaner and maintaining intercooler efficiency.

Note: this catch can kit fits the shared EA888 Gen1/Gen2 crankcase ventilation system across Golf GTI/R MK5/MK6, A3/S3 8P and Jetta GLI — same engine bay, same fit. It does not fit MK7/MK8 Golf or Audi 8V/8Y platform vehicles, which use a later-generation engine and different ventilation routing.
