Factory rubber and plastic charge piping is built to a cost target, not a boost target — it's the first thing to balloon, crack, or blow off a clamp once power climbs past stock. Aluminium charge and boost pipes are the unglamorous insurance policy that keeps the rest of a tuned EA888 Gen3 build actually reliable.

Note: this charge pipe kit fits the shared MQB AWD 2.0T platform across Golf GTI/R MK7 and A3/S3/TT/TTS 8V — same engine bay, same fit. It does not fit MK8 Golf/GTI/R or Audi 8Y platform vehicles, which use a different generation charge piping.
