Overview

This carbon fibre intake system replaces the EA888 Gen3 factory inlet assembly with a more direct, less restricted path to the turbocharger. Carbon fibre construction keeps intake air temperatures lower than the OEM plastic housing, and the gloss finish adds a premium engine bay appearance.

Engineering Focus

The carbon fibre tube runs from the filtration element directly to the turbocharger inlet — removing the airbox and factory ducting that restricts and warms the intake charge. Sized for the IS38 and IS20 turbocharger found across the MK7 platform.

The factory intake on the EA888 Gen3 was sized for cabin refinement, not for feeding an IS38 or IS20 under load. Carbon fibre construction shortens the path to the turbo and keeps the charge cooler — a small change that shows up as a sharper, more immediate throttle response, with a gloss finish that looks the part too.

It does not fit MK8 Golf/GTI/R or Audi 8Y platform vehicles, which use a different generation intake.
