Overview

The EA113 and EA888 Gen2 platform carries a factory intake system that restricts airflow as tuning targets increase. This aluminium intake replaces the OEM assembly with a more open, less turbulent path to the turbocharger — improving induction sound and supporting the airflow demand of modified applications.

Engineering Focus

Manufactured from 6061 aluminium with a 70mm primary tube diameter, the kit replaces the factory airbox and inlet assembly. Designed for both EA113 and EA888 Gen2 applications across the MK5/MK6 and 8P platforms.

Built for the Drive, Not Just the Dyno

The MK5/MK6 platform's factory intake was built around a much milder factory tune than most owners are running today. A larger, more direct aluminium intake is the simplest fix in the book — more air in means more air the turbo can use, and a sharper induction note as a side effect.

• VW Golf GTI MK5 2.0T EA113
• VW Golf GTI MK6 2.0T EA888 Gen2

Note: this intake fits the shared EA113/EA888 Gen1/Gen2 platform — the same engine and pipework also appears on Golf R MK6, Audi S3 8P and Jetta/GLI MK5/MK6 of the same era. If your vehicle is one of these and isn't listed above, message us your rego/VIN and we'll confirm fitment before you order. This kit does not fit MK7/MK8 Golf or Audi 8V/8Y platform vehicles, which use a later-generation engine and different fitment.
