The factory G8X S58 mid pipe carries resonators that mute the exhaust character significantly between the downpipes and rear section. This SS304 stainless mid pipe replaces it with a less restrictive design — improving exhaust flow and giving the S58's exhaust note more presence through the mid section.
The mid pipe sits in the middle of the exhaust path for a reason — it's where flow, sound, and packaging all have to be balanced at once. The factory section leans hard toward quiet; this one leans back toward what the S58 actually sounds like under load.
