This cast aluminium intake manifold replaces the OEM EA855 unit with an enlarged plenum chamber. The increased plenum volume supports improved cylinder filling at higher RPM and power levels — suited to RS3 8V and TTRS 8S builds targeting significant power.
The EA855 five-cylinder is famous for its sound, but the factory plenum was sized to be quiet and efficient, not to feed a tuned build. An enlarged plenum is the unglamorous fix that actually matters once you're chasing real numbers — it's not a part you show off, it's a part that lets everything downstream of it work properly.

It does not fit standard A3/S3 8V (EA888) vehicles, which use a different engine entirely.
