The B58's water-to-air charge cooling system uses a front-mounted heat exchanger to manage charge air temperatures. Under sustained boost — particularly on tuned applications — the factory heat exchanger becomes a thermal bottleneck. This upgraded unit provides improved coolant heat exchange capacity for more consistent charge temperatures.

A water-to-air system hides its heat soak ceiling better than a traditional front-mount intercooler, but it's still there — the coolant loop just runs out of capacity instead of the air. A larger heat exchanger buys back that margin precisely where back-to-back pulls start to feel flat on the factory unit.
