Overview
The factory intake on the B9 S4 and S5 was designed with noise suppression as a priority — not airflow. As the EA839 3.0T is pushed harder or remapped, the restricted OEM inlet path becomes a limiting factor. This intake system replaces it with a more direct route to the turbos, sharpening induction sound and supporting improved airflow delivery.

Engineering Focus
Constructed from 6061 aluminium, the pipework is sized for both stock and tuned EA839 applications. The intake replaces the factory airbox and inlet assembly with a more open design, improving how the turbos draw air at higher demand.

The B9's factory intake was sized for cabin refinement, not for feeding the EA839's turbos under load. A larger, more direct aluminium intake is the simplest fix in the book — more air in means more air the turbos can use, and a sharper induction note as a side effect.
